Terms of service.

Updated October 2026
The short version

We're an air charter broker: we arrange flights, we don't operate them. Every flight is flown by an FAA-certificated Part 135 operator who is responsible for the aircraft, the crew and the insurance. Whether it's an empty leg from our board, an empty leg we found for you, or a charter we quoted, you get one final total before you agree to anything, and your quote says who you pay it to: the operator, or UpLeg. Asking costs nothing and there is no deposit to request. Empty legs can change or cancel until the operator confirms. The full terms below are the binding version.

Welcome to UpLeg LLC (“UpLeg”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By using our website at flyupleg.com and our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Air Charter Broker Disclosure

UpLeg is an air charter broker as defined under 14 CFR Part 295. We arrange charter air transportation on behalf of our clients but do not own, operate, maintain, or exercise operational control over any aircraft. We are not a direct air carrier or direct foreign air carrier.

UpLeg arranges empty-leg and charter flights that depart from or arrive in the United States, and never a flight between two foreign airports. All flights arranged through UpLeg are operated by FAA-certificated Part 135 on-demand air carriers. The direct air carrier operating your flight is solely responsible for the safety, operation, and conduct of that flight.

2. Broker Capacity

UpLeg acts as an agent on behalf of the charterer (you) when arranging charter air transportation, whether the flight is an empty leg listed on our board, an empty leg we located at your request, or a charter we quoted for your dates. We connect you with licensed charter operators to fulfil your flight request.

3. Insurance Disclosure

UpLeg does not hold liability insurance covering charterers, passengers, or property on charter flights. All liability insurance for flight operations is maintained by the direct air carrier operating the flight. We recommend that you confirm the operating carrier's insurance coverage and limits prior to your flight and consider purchasing your own travel insurance.

4. Requests, Quotes and Prices

Our board lists empty-leg repositioning flights. A Trip Finder request asks us to arrange the listed legs you picked, each as its own request, or to find an empty leg that is not listed. A charter request asks us to quote a flight for your dates. Every price displayed on the board is an estimate of your total, derived from the operating carrier's public listing or from our own model, and shown as a range. A quote we send you, for an empty leg or a charter, is a total for the whole aircraft and is valid for the period it states; it remains subject to the carrier's availability until you have agreed to it and the carrier has confirmed. A request or an inquiry costs nothing, requires no deposit, and is not a booking: nothing is owed until you have agreed to a total and the carrier has confirmed. Empty-leg flights depend on the carrier's other commitments and may be changed, rescheduled or withdrawn by the carrier at any time before confirmation.

5. Operator Information

Before your booking is finalized, we will provide you with the corporate name and any trade names of the direct air carrier operating your flight. Upon request, we will also disclose:

  • Any business relationship between UpLeg and the operating carrier that may have bearing on carrier selection
  • The total cost of air transportation including all fees and taxes
  • Any third-party fees for which you may be directly responsible

Your total is stated to you before you agree to book, in your quote and in the terms you agree to when you say yes, together with who it is payable to.

6. Payment and Compensation

Your quote states one total for the flight and who you pay it to: the operating carrier directly, under the carrier's own agreement and payment terms, or UpLeg, which then pays the carrier. You never pay both for the same flight, and you pay nothing until you have agreed to the total.

UpLeg is compensated for arranging every booking made through UpLeg; the amount is set per booking, is included in the total you agree to, and is never added afterwards. On request we will confirm the compensation we receive in connection with your flight. If you arrange a flight UpLeg found for you, or a replacement the carrier offers in its place, directly with the carrier or through anyone else within 12 months of agreeing to book it, you owe UpLeg what it would have been paid for that booking.

7. Cancellations and Refunds

The operating carrier's cancellation policy applies to every flight and is stated in your quote before you agree. If the carrier cancels, or the flight does not operate for a reason other than your cancellation, no amount is owed to UpLeg: anything you paid UpLeg is refunded in full within 7 days, and anything you paid the carrier is refunded under the carrier's terms, which we will help you take up with them. If you cancel, the carrier's policy governs what is refundable. Where you paid UpLeg, we return to you whatever the carrier releases under that policy, within 7 days of receiving it, and UpLeg's compensation is refunded only when the carrier refunds the price in full. Because empty-leg flights depend on the primary charter itinerary, the carrier may cancel or change one at any time before departure; we tell you what we know as soon as we know it and help you look for an alternative. If UpLeg fails to provide the disclosures described above within a reasonable time, you may cancel your request with us at no cost.

8. Your Responsibilities

By using our services, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate personal information, including a name and a mobile number we can reach you on, and accurate flight requirements
  • Comply with all applicable travel and aviation regulations
  • Ensure all passengers carry valid government-issued photo identification
  • Arrive at the designated departure location on time

9. Limitation of Liability

UpLeg's role is limited to arranging charter air transportation. We are not liable for any acts, omissions, delays, cancellations, or injuries arising from the direct air carrier's operation of any flight. Our maximum liability to you shall not exceed any amounts actually paid by you to UpLeg.

10. Privacy

Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using UpLeg, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described therein.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
